Good buy

Also this unit was on sale. Seems to be a good buy. I have used it off grid several times running my office using 80-100 watts load and it has run over 9 hours. Charges fast on mute mode. 3 different charging modes. AC and DC inputs, solar charges also. Several breaker options to turn on and off functions. CONS- Comes with small AC power cord although many things due now. Has several different cord options that come with it but i would rather have longer power cord. Power cord is also a bit loose. Aside from that this thing is a real working power station with good options and nicely packaged. This product came very fast, however, the panel was "lost" per company and had to be reordered as it didnt show up for 10 days!

R1500 thoughts

Box was slightly damaged but unit was okay. Took longer than expected to get here. For as big and heavy that it is I expected it to run stuff longer. Nice looking. The S700 is alot smaller and lighter and costs alot less and it shows the same numbers as the R1500. Very comparable as I have both units. Ran my 5 cubic foot freezer for 19 hours. Ran my 6 cubic foot freezer for 14 hours. Ran my 22 year old Kenmore side by side fridge freezer for 11 hours. I got it on a black Friday sale so it was a nice deal but it should do better than it does in my opinion. It will save my food in an outage so I like it. But another S700 might have been a better way to go. FedEx is why it took longer not the company that sold it. Can't find expansion batteries anywhere.

Excellent Product minus one thing

The power station exceeds my expectation minus one thing. It has two expansion ports. But why? No one in the world can find the expansion batteries, not even on the website. You should actually have the batteries available or inform the buyers about them. Most companies rush to have this information available on their website. Very odd.

Sweet medium sized juice box

Picked this up along with a 140w portable solar panel.

R1500 arrived quickly and packed well. 75% charged and only took 20mins to get to 100.

It's heavier than I expected, def on the edge of "portable" power stations. Looks cool and app works great, but pretty basic.

Haven't had a chance to test out solar charging (still waiting on panel to arrive).

Only gripe so far is that the fan runs 24/7 when using it as a UPS, even in mute mode. It's quiet but still audible.

The ~1200Wh will handle a 180w load for about 4 hours, not too shabby but still leaves me wanting more. Can't wait till they release the expansion battery packs.

This is a great alternative to having to invest in charge controller, inverter and LiPo batts for off-grid and nomadic lifestyles. As long as you have less than 650w solar this will keep your juices flowing.

Manual says it's a 48V ~24aH battery so I'm wondering if having solar input voltage closer to 60V would be more efficient than 30V but higher amps? Series vs parallel panel wiring.

Overall sweet deal perfect for my needs. Thanks!
